Clear aligner therapy uses a series of custom-fabricated, transparent plastic trays to gradually move teeth into their correct positions. Each tray is worn for 1–2 weeks before advancing to the next in the series, with each successive tray moving the teeth slightly closer to the final planned position.
At Dentist, we are a Diamond Invisalign Provider — placing us in the top tier of Invisalign practices in the United States based on case volume and clinical outcomes. Dr. Sarah Mitchell has completed over 500 Invisalign cases and contributes to the clinical education of other Invisalign providers.
See Your Result Before You Start
One of the most compelling advantages of aligner therapy is the ability to preview your result digitally before beginning treatment. Using Invisalign ClinCheck software, we create a 3D simulation showing tooth movement from your current position to the final planned alignment. You can review this simulation, request modifications, and approve the plan before your first tray is fabricated.
Aligners vs. Braces: When Each Is Better
Clear aligners excel in mild to moderate crowding and spacing cases, relapse correction after previous orthodontics, and cases where aesthetics during treatment is a priority. Braces outperform aligners in severe crowding, significant bite correction, tooth rotation, and cases involving young growing patients.
We will tell you honestly if your case is better suited to braces. Our goal is the best clinical outcome for you — not the most popular or profitable treatment option.
Compliance Is Everything
Clear aligners must be worn 20–22 hours per day to progress on schedule. Removing them for meals and oral hygiene is their great advantage — but also their greatest risk. Patients who wear aligners fewer than 18 hours per day experience significantly delayed results and may require additional tray series. We track compliance and adjust the treatment plan accordingly at each progress check.
Refinements & Retainers
Most cases require one to two rounds of refinement trays toward the end of treatment to finalize tooth positioning. Treatment concludes with the delivery of clear retainers worn nightly to maintain results permanently.
