Soreness for 2–5 days following each adjustment is normal and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief. Treatment concludes with debonding of the brackets and delivery of custom retainers.
Retainers After Braces
Retainers are not optional — they are an essential part of treatment. Teeth have a natural tendency to shift back toward their original positions, particularly in the first two years after braces. We provide fixed (bonded) retainers for the front teeth and removable clear retainers for nightly wear. Retainer compliance determines whether your results last a lifetime.
